It’s never too early! Make reservations right now for the All-Western Regional, August 26-September 1. But beware! 

We are continuing our tourney and lodging at the beautiful Hyatt Regency (formerly know as the Westin Hotel). The address is 5101 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara. For reservations call 800-233-1234 or 408-200-1234.  The Bridge rates are a very attractive $86 single/double room, provided you make your reservations early. 

On the schedule we again have the 4-session All-Western Championship Pairs beginning on Saturday with two qualifying sessions and ending on Sunday with two final sessions. This fun event is growing in popularity.  Of course, your D21 Board realizes the challenge of the Championship Pairs isn't for everyone, so we have added the DAVY CROCKETT KO on Saturday afternoon (the DOC HOLIDAY Compact KO Teams also continues on Saturday morning/afternoon).

The many senior games at our Regionals are gaining interest and we will continue our popular 10AM and 3PM Senior Swiss beginning on Wednesday which started at nine tables and now numbers over forty. 

Speaking of Swiss Teams, on Monday September 1st we will continue our popular Strati-flighted format, with Flight A and X in one section, with the B-C-D in the other group.  Our game begins at 10:00AM so everyone can get home a bit earlier. The game will be eight matches of seven boards playthrough with a short break. 

Here in District 21 we’ve invested heavily in our own Goodwill people.  Accordingly, on Thursday we will honor them on our Goodwill Day. Come help us say thank you to a group of wonderful people on their special day. 

Our Regional novice program "Learning Experience Lectures" runs from Wednesday through Sunday at 12 noon.   For advanced concepts, we will offer our popular Concept Speaker series at 6:45PM.

Conventions: On the ACBL General Convention Chart allowed in all events.  Conventions on the ACBL Mid-Chart allowed in the top group of all Open (not Senior nor Compact) Bracketed Knockout Teams plus Thursday and Monday Flight A Teams.

Entrees: Please purchase well before game time, on sale about an hour prior to afternoon start times and about 30 minutes prior for evenings.  Players arriving after game time might not be accommodated.  Please allow ample time for travel and parking.

GOLD POINT events award gold points for overall and section tops, red points for any other points earned.  RED POINT events award only red points.  All other events award red points.  NO SILVER POINTS AWARDED IN ANY EVENT.
