ACBL District 21

Let's Play Duplicate Bridge

Your Webmaster

Thanks for dropping by.  My first website was for the ACLB Marin Unit 508 Bridge Unit.  Using Microsoft FrontPage 2002, I used navigational Themes and Hover Buttons.  The site uses a typical drill-down navigational structure.  Feature-wise, I capitalized on FrontPage Server Extensions, including Subnets for each each Unit to upload ACBLScore daily game results via FTP (Index Server seach, etc).

The District 21 website has a different look and feel.  To accommodate the widest community of users (LOLs using their grandkid's "hand-me-down" computers), I've stayed a Themes, Hover Buttons, and the like.  The Home page has a different metaphor, too; notice all the places to go -- quite a busy page, but the utility approach saves keystrokes and reveals more goodies.  I've copied a fair amount of ACBL data and added it to this site (ACBL Laws, etc).  Yet where ACBL data changes frequently (Tourney schedule), I've included appropriate links.  For those Units not having their own website, I've provided them a page at the District site including some basic information.

Here's an excerpt of my web proposal to the District Board.

When I'm not at the table, you can find me working on my planned Bridge instructional website or playing online as MoonLitNite.  I also support the Fifth Chair online Mentor-Mentee program.

After looking at the Help Page, please feel free to EMAIL me if you have any suggestions or need some assistance.
